The Whistlands Series

The Whistlands Series is an in-production series of books that occur within a fictional world created by the author. The world is a combination of steampunk, fantasy, and western tropes. Inspirations for the world, its inhabitants, and its books include The Lord of the Rings, The Dark Tower series, The Jungle, GATE, 1984, Harry Turtledove, Shadowrun, Shane, Gunsmoke, Pale Rider, and many more.

The first book of the series The Cyneweard was released online serially in its fourth rewrite form and completed in July 2016. While it is being edited and will have a final form that will likely differ from what was released online, it is available to read for free on Inkitt.com by following this link.

Synopsis:

A grisly string of murders digs up a city's troubled past and fans the flames of a bitter tension between a greedy factory and its mistreated workers. As conflict ignites, lives will never be the same.

The second book of the series Whistlend is a direct sequel to The Cyneweard and will explore more of the Whistlands and its history while still offering up plenty of action and intrigue. It is currently expected to be complete by the end of 2018.

His arduous journey will take him beyond the land's known edges and embroil him in a decades-deep conspiracy that threatens the tenuous peace his deeds helped win.
